➡️ How to stop an anxiety attack:
1. Grounding! Try naming 5 things you can see, 4 things you can hear, 3 things you can touch, 2 things you can smell, and 1 thing you can taste.
You could also try using cold water or ice on your arms to bring you back into your body.
2. Breathe. After grounding, take some deep breaths or try a breathing technique to help self-soothe.
3. Talk to a friend or family member.
4. Try journaling or watching a comforting show!
Anxiety attacks happen. It's important to remind yourself that you are safe and it will pass. What are your most helpful tools for working through an anxiety attack? 💙
