For Obed, Father’s Day means more than a card or a celebration. It’s a reminder of the five children he loves deeply and the new life he is building so he can be the father they need.

When Obed arrived at Union Rescue Mission, he had lost so much: his marriage, custody of his children, and hope for the future. But through counseling, spiritual guidance, literacy support, and meaningful service, God began restoring what was broken.

Today, for Obed, the way home is all about continued growth, serving, working toward a skilled trade, and getting closer to regaining full custody of his children.
This Father’s Day, we thank God for stories of restoration and for every dad taking the next faithful step toward healing, responsibility, and love.
