Homeward Bound: Army Rotates 329 Troops in North-East, 174 Return from Frontline

The Nigerian Army has airlifted 329 military personnel in and out of the North-East theatre as part of its ongoing troop rotation and welfare initiative under Operation Hadin Kai. The latest exercise, conducted on June 16 using a chartered ValueJet aircraft, saw 155 personnel deployed into the theatre to resume operational duties, while 174 others were flown out after completing their assignments.

The welfare flight programme, introduced by the Chief of Army Staff, is designed to ease troop movement, boost morale, and allow soldiers to reunite with their families and recuperate after extended frontline deployments. Military authorities confirmed the movement was completed without any operational or logistical setbacks. Since the initiative began, a total of 33,426 personnel have been transported to and from the Operation Hadin Kai theatre.
