Giving gratitude to everyone who visited ARRAY Creative Campus with their loved ones to celebrate Mexican Mother’s Day.
On this day, we honored our maternal villages through powerful stories on screen that celebrated Chicana strength, resilience, cultural identity and enduring love across generations.
Our film lineup included pivotal shorts by documentarian Sylvia Morales, as well as the classic gem LA MISMA LUNA, a story about motherhood and migration.
Our hearts remain full after welcoming LA MISMA LUNA writer and executive producer Ligiah Villalobos () for a special introduction to the film. The film’s director, Patricia Riggen (), also shared memories about the making of the film during a conversation moderated by ARRAY founder Ava DuVernay (). Give them all their flowers!
