Philosophy:
In one’s quest for victory ‘Prove a villain,’ power words pronounced by Richard III in Shakespeare’s controversial play about the Machiavellian protagonist. Dominate the hero. Competition is often polarizing, especially to the onlookers. When we think of “war” it is the villian who is the last standing opposite the king. As those two titans collide, only the victor is praised. So be that villain, in the gym, in battle, in the space applicable to your direct competitors as the Great Brandon Myers profoundly articulated. Embody the mindset of hunting to dethrone the king.
You do want the king inspired to face you on the battlefield, to meet your challenge head on. Be likable outside of the ring, but in that cage have vigilant ferocious charge — that is the path to greatness. In a 1992 Olympics Dream Team basketball practice, MJ is quoted saying, “There’s a new sheriff in town😎” directing his gaze towards Magic Johnson & Larry Bird. Only as the villian can one usurp the authority of the reigning commander. The “Is this your king?” mentality is the one you must exude to figuratively knock the leader’s head off and become the new reign. Annihilate the leaderboard. Keep this mentality at the forefront. Strike the king until you are the king!
