Save Porter Ranch
WE will PERMANENT SHUTDOWN the disastrous SoCalGas, North San Fernando Valley gas facility, providing Employer Identification Number (EIN#) 47-5311796.
04/11/2026
Here’s a summary of the gas blowout that SPR cofounder Matt Pakucko posted about five years ago today on Nextdoor.com. Every bit of it still stands—and the evidence has only grown stronger with time. Nothing about that facility has fundamentally changed. If anything, the silence around it has. In case anyone’s forgotten… take another look.
The So Cal Gas Aliso Canyon alarm is sounding yet again.
Tuesday morning, March 17, 2026.
Sunday night I spoke with LA County fire department, and they said that SoCalGas told them:
“Oh, it’s just an alarm we were having a problem with. We have to get it fixed.”
No. That is not good enough. And the County Fire Department should not be accepting that at face value either.
They have not been able to fix this thing since at least January 30th?
Either they had an alarm-worthy abnormal condition, or they had a safety-system malfunction, a real alarm condition, a failed alarm, detection, or an equipment problem serious enough to keep tripping the system.
You do not just switch off the constantly occurring alarm.
