Hey LA, good day! If you're interested in joining the department and becoming an Associate Community Officer, read this bulletin and follow the instructions below.
An Associate Community Officer will be a civilian employee of the LAPD and will perform various supportive duties under general supervision, in preparation for a career in law enforcement. Salary range for Full-time positions are $34,890 - $51,030
for intermittent positions the hourly rate is $16.71
Eligibility requirements are as follows:
* United States citizen
* 18 years and older, you may apply at 17, if you will be 18 by appointment date.
* Participant in either LAPD programs: POPP (last 12 months), Police Academy graduate school graduate (last 2 years), or LAPD Cadet program (currently enrolled)

* Current enrollment in a college/university; or
* Participation with a community organization providing services to underserved communities within the LA area. "Such as CSPLA", call to be added to our roster before applying if you're not enrolled in college/university.

* 6 months experience as an intern or volunteer with the LAPD and
* A digital invitation from LAPD personnel division.
