WE ARE a project that creates, performs, presents, supports, and fosters dance in Los Angeles and around the world. AD @benjaminmillepied L.A.
Week 2 of City of Dance begins today. Don't miss this free, landmark public arts program in L.A.!
At LACMA’s David Geffen Galleries, L.A.–based artist and choreographer Madeline Hollander works with the company to refine the patterns, counts, and spatial formations that shape her new section for the L.A. iteration of Benjamin Millepied’s landmark public arts program, City of Dance. Developed alongside contributions from fellow choreographers Dimitri Chamblas, Jamar Roberts, Pam Tanowitz, and Millepied, her section becomes part of the larger collective work performed across all sites. As visitors pause and the museum’s everyday rhythms fold into the rehearsal, Hollander reflects on creating in a city “learning to sustain itself out of balance.”
