The 2026 Oscars are expected to feature an emotional moment when Billy Crystal and Meg Ryan reunite on stage to honor Rob Reiner during the In Memoriam segment. For many fans of When Harry Met Sally..., their appearance represents more than a tribute—it brings back memories of a film that left a lasting mark on audiences.
When the movie first paired Crystal and Ryan, their performances felt natural and relatable, turning everyday conversations into memorable moments. Guided by Reiner’s direction, their chemistry helped create one of the most cherished romantic comedies in cinema.
As they stand together again years later, the tribute will recognize the director whose vision helped bring that story to life. The moment is expected to be a touching reminder of how powerful collaborations can leave a legacy that continues to resonate with viewers.

In the late 1960s, many U.S. public restrooms required coins to unlock stalls, which often affected women more than men, since men could use urinals for free. Those without change faced delays or had no access, raising concerns about fairness and basic public access.
In 1968, four Chicago high school students formed the Committee to End Pay Toilets in America (CEPTIA). They organized petitions, contacted officials, and worked with the media, arguing that access to restrooms should not depend on spare change. The issue drew national attention and connected to broader conversations about gender equality and consumer rights.
Within about eight years, activism and legislation led many states to ban pay toilets. By the mid-1970s, coin-operated restroom stalls had largely disappeared from public spaces like airports, transit stations, and stores, thanks in part to this student-led campaign.
