People ask
how I keep going.

How I wake up,
how I breathe,
how I live
with this kind of loss.

The truth is…

I don’t do it
because I’m strong.

I do it
because I have to.

Because life didn’t pause
when you left—
even though
mine felt like it did.

—Grieving With Love

Peace doesn’t always look peaceful.
It’s not all incense and soft light.
‘It will make you kneel before your own darkness, until you can hold its gaze without trembling.’

Too often, peace is dressed in white and sold as softness, frolicking in a prairie… at a yoga retreat.
Quiet. Gentle. Composed. ‘Ascended’. Passive?

But real peace won’t coddle the ego.

It doesn’t perform spirituality.
It becomes it, after walking barefoot through the wreckage of every coping mechanism it once clung to for safety.

‘And on the other side… […]
Your silence has deepened. And the way you listen. Your hunger for surface fades. And so do the connections built on surface.

Not because you’ve turned your back,
but because you’ve bathed in an abyss that most are still afraid to dive into.

And now when you speak, your voice carries the weight of something they’ve perhaps never touched.

You hold presence in places most people hurry past. You’ve become fluent in a language few are willing to speak. And that fluency costs you comfort and sometimes, closeness.’

You don’t find peace by forcing meditation or binging on self-help podcasts. Peace finds YOU when you finally stop running from yourself. When you meet the battle within, face yourself fully and lay down the sword before whatever’s left standing.

It’s the stillness that only comes after full movement has been expressed.

Peace isn’t neutral. It’s fierce. It leaves you changed before it rests in you. 09/21/2025
