At USC Roski Eye Institute, faculty, alumni, and partners recently came together for a golden anniversary symposium celebrating decades of progress in preserving, protecting, and restoring sight.

The event reflected on nearly 50 years of breakthroughs in eye care while also highlighting what comes next, from AI-driven diagnostics and gene therapy to retinal regeneration and vision-restoring innovations. Researchers and clinicians shared how today’s discoveries are shaping the future of ophthalmology in real time.

More than a milestone celebration, the symposium underscored a clear direction forward: continued collaboration across science, medicine, and technology to push the boundaries of what’s possible in vision care

At USC Marshall, a student-led Peer Career Advising program is helping finance-focused undergraduates prepare for one of the most competitive recruiting pipelines in business.

The program pairs students with peers who have already secured roles in investment banking and other financial services, offering guidance on resumes, technical interview prep, networking, and recruiting strategy, directly from those who recently went through the process themselves.

Since expanding through the Financial Services Career Hub, the program has supported a growing number of students through both 1:1 advising and workshops, helping bridge the gap between coursework and early recruiting timelines.
