Transforming War Zones Through Education

12/10/2024

A big thank you to everyone who made Giving Tuesday a success! We surpassed our fundraising goal of $40,000 for a total of $54,289! Thank you to everyone who joined us and made that possible!

To build on our Giving Tuesday momentum, we’re now looking ahead to our end-of-year goal of $350K to support nearly 30,000 children through Justice Rising programs in protracted conflict settings!

TODAY is Giving Tuesday! This year, we’re supporting our students in the rebel-held village of Kalembe with free, quality schooling and additional assistance for their families during this holiday season. To increase your impact, we even have a MATCH where your gift will be DOUBLED up to $20K through the support of a generous donor.

Receiving quality schooling at a Justice Rising school doesn’t just mean that students learn to read and write — it means students can THRIVE at school in every sense, including feeling safe and being motivated to learn.

We believe that every student, even those living in conflict, deserves to receive a quality education and an opportunity to thrive.

Your donation will give children born into war the opportunity to learn, feel safe, and dream of a brighter future without being held back by a financial burden.

Join us today and together we can transform the lives of children living in war.

This Thanksgiving, we’re incredibly grateful for our students and teachers—many of whom have fled from war in the last year—who continue to show up for class and thrive amid overwhelming difficulties.

Join us in standing with these kids during this holiday season to provide free, quality education and hope during this time of giving.

Jen here one last time! One of our high schools, Antioche, started this year with a major upgrade — a shiny new second floor! I’m always nervous when we visit this school. At 5 ft tall, most of the students are taller than me and you just never know if the high school students will be feeling extra sassy. Way more intimidating to me than our primary students!

Well, I was SO surprised by this visit. A handful of students greeted me in Chinese (what?! 😮) and we all had a good laugh over how shocked I was. After classes finished, I hung out with some students wanting to practice their English and we joked around for a bit with lots of charades thrown in for communication. It felt like a throwback to my own high school days of hanging out in the hallways after the last bell!
