LOCATION UPDATE ‼️ The 2026 Artist Development Showcase, originally scheduled to take place at the DGA, will now be at the Harmony Gold.

The showcase starts at 7:00 pm this Tuesday, July 21 at the Harmony Gold Preview house (7655 Sunset Blvd.). Parking is free!

In addition to a screening and Q&A of short films from , we're presenting the 2026 Changemaker Awards to Alysa Nahmias (‘Cookie Queens’), Robbie Pickering (‘Gaslit’) and Harry Yoon (‘Michael’).

LA Muse: Boorman and the Devil - Film Independent 07/17/2026

LA Muse continues with ‘Boorman and the Devil’ including an in-person Q&A with writer/director David Kittredge.

After the success of ‘Point Blank’ and ‘Deliverance’, Warner Brothers offered John Boorman the opportunity of a lifetime…the chance to direct a sequel to their smash hit, ‘The Exorcist’. The result was one of the biggest disasters in movie history that not only changed Hollywood, but nearly ended Boorman’s filmmaking career.

Inspired by one of the most popular sections of the , the LA Muse screening series presented by Ashby & Graff Real Estate spotlights films that reflect the many facets of Los Angeles.

When the house is on fire, give teenagers a camera.

We brought together 75 high school students this semester to explore civil liberties through documentary filmmaking.

These students from Van Nuys High School Magnets, Westbrook Academy and Renaissance High School for the Arts collaborated to make short films exploring issues of vital social importance in their own communities—from ableism and gentrification to racism.
