All the feels here at COMUNITYmade HQ getting to meet Ted Lasso star who portrays Jan Mass. His new pair of Eastsiders will get a lot of use on the shiny streets of California! Such a great person IRL as well as on screen.
We have been cranking here behind the scenes to find new ways to utilize all of our leather scraps from our daily shoemaking. Check out these super groovy slides we fashioned from our library of scraps - every pair is different! Handcrafted with care and skill right here in downtown Los Angeles!

There is no “there” without being “here”. Yes - we have BIG plans on our “there” and we DO appreciate our “here” which has brought us so many interesting opportunities, people and experiences. We had a vision over 7 years ago about where our “here” might be and it has proven to be the right move. We built a space and a business that did not exist and grew it on a shoestring with our savings. Fast forward to today and we have validation every day that we are on the right track. Being a leader and taking chances has its own set and challenges but today as it sits - our “here” is spot on! Welcome to crazy shoemaking island all new comers - you are going to like it “here” 😃
