Look at that view! 🌕🍓

Tonight marks the very first full moon of summer, beautifully known as the Strawberry Moon! We couldn’t have asked for a better view, with this stunning capture coming courtesy of our Flight Path VP, Ben Irving.

Seeing the lunar surface detailed so beautifully in these pictures of the moon immediately has us looking ahead to the future of space exploration and NASA's upcoming Artemis missions. Every giant leap into deep space begins with the foundational steps of flight.

In our Space Exploration Exhibit, we honor that exact journey—bridging the rich history of the Apollo era with tomorrow’s frontiers as humanity prepares to return to the lunar surface. We love being a place where aviation legacy inspires the next generation of dreamers right here on Earth.

What do you think about when you look up at the first full moon of the season? Let us know in the comments! 👇

Celebrating 100 Years of United Airlines (1926–2026)

Today, we honor a century of connection, innovation, and service. Looking back at these milestones reminds us how far aviation has come:

April 6, 1926: The journey begins! (First photo) Pilot Leon Cuddeback took off in a Swallow biplane for Varney Air Lines (a predecessor of United), carrying the first load of government-contracted airmail.

The Golden Age: Transitioning into the "Mainliner" era, where United set the standard for passenger comfort and introduced the world to the first teams of professional flight attendants.

The Modern Era: From the humble Boise hangar to a fleet of sophisticated wide-body jets that connect continents in hours rather than days.

A Legacy of Firsts

United wasn't just part of the industry; it helped build it. Whether it was being the first to fly commercial mail or leading the way in modern fleet sustainability, the "Friendly Skies" have always looked forward.

Congratulations to the thousands of pilots, flight attendants, mechanics, and ground crew members who have kept the world moving for 100 years. Here is to the next century of flight! 🥂
