Authentically Emmie

I love seeing the 2016 flashbacks. It was a banner year for me. I felt like I’d settled into my own skin after my divorce. My business was thriving, I loved my clients and going to NYC every quarter, I shot SO MANY PROJECTS with Emily, the best photographer 📸. My friendships deepened, and I also started feeling more comfortable with being alone. I lost my dear dog Lilly, and had to sit with quiet I hadn’t known before. I decided dating was kind of dumb and then met Steve, who told me before the end of the year that he was going to marry me someday 😂. I was skeptical, but he was right. Looking back, I’m so proud of 2016 me. Going through photos, I’m also really sad about the state of plus size fashion now. We really were in an era where it felt like doors were opening. It’s a wild contrast to where we are now.
