Congratulations to Troop 366’s newest Life Scout and newest Tenderfoot Scout! 🎉

On June 29, 2026, we celebrated two important milestones on the Scouting trail. One Scout has reached the Life Scout rank, standing just one step away from earning the prestigious Eagle Scout Award. Another Scout has earned the Tenderfoot rank, marking the beginning of an exciting journey filled with adventure, leadership, service, and personal growth.

Every rank earned is a testament to hard work, dedication, and perseverance. These accomplishments are also made possible by the encouragement of parents, the guidance of our volunteer leaders, and the support of fellow Scouts who help each other succeed.

Congratulations to both of these outstanding young men! We are proud of what you’ve accomplished and look forward to watching you continue to grow as leaders and live the values of the Scout Oath and Scout Law.

Keep climbing. Keep serving. Keep leading. Troop 366 Attitude! ⚜️💚

JUST A REMINDER - Votive Mass of the Precious Blood of Christ, July 1, 2026

Just as May is devoted to the Blessed Virgin Mary, and June to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, July is devoted to the Precious Blood of Christ.

On November 24, 1848, the Holy Father, Pope Blessed Pius IX, was exiled from Rome by Italian rebels. His only companion was Blessed Giovanni Merlini, the Superior General of the Fathers of the Most Precious Blood.

When they were finally liberated on June 30, 1849, Pius IX showed his gratitude by extending the Feast of the Precious Blood to the whole universal Church. This was eventually assigned to July 1.

In 1969 the Feast was removed from the liturgical Calendar due to the Precious Blood already being honored on Good Friday and on the feasts of Corpus Christi, the Sacred Heart of Jesus, and the Exaltation of the Holy Cross. But it can still be celebrated as a "Votive Mass" (a free will Mass) on any day.

We will offer this Votive Mass as our 8am daily Mass, on the traditional date, Wednesday, July 1, in order to observe the devotion of the month and entreat God's blessing for our parish. We will also pray the Litany of the Precious Blood for an indulgence.
