One spider in Kentucky that is potentially dangerous is the brown recluse. Although bites are rare, the venom can cause serious wounds and infestations should be taken seriously. The good news is that the brown recluse is not aggressive. Most bites occur in response to body pressure, when a spider is inadvertently trapped against bare skin.
