Join us on Tuesday, July 21, at 4:30PM for the ribbon cutting of the CHIRP Mini Forest and Pollinator Garden - 📍 77 13th St

The Centralville Habitat Interconnected Restoration Project (CHIRP) has transformed two underutilized spaces into biodiversity hotspots - a pollinator meadow behind Robinson Middle School and a mini forest on a vacant parcel at 77 13th St adjacent to the school.

These new green spaces are designed to support pollinators and local wildlife, improve climate resilience, expand access to greenspace, and foster community connections with the environment.

The City of Lowell was awarded a $173,157 Community Biodiversity Grant from the Massachusetts Department of Fish and Game to bring CHIRP to life as part of a statewide investment supporting community-led projects that protect and restore biodiversity.

All are welcome to join in dedicating the City Hall Clock Tower in memory of Walter "Wally" Burns.
Wally was a veteran and devoted civil servant, serving the City of Lowell from 1957-1995. The dedication will honor his work, and particularly his care of the clock tower.
