Three Golden Rules to Keep Your Running Simple Run regularly. Not too fast. Mostly trails.
Runners, swimmers, cyclists, no matter how tempting it may be, it’s seldom a good idea to increase volume (amount of work done) and intensity (exertion) at the same time in training.
It does not take long as a swim coach to determine if you want to see your athletes go fast in the water during practice, turn it into a relay.
