But I really do believe what I’m selling them. Sure the floor is warped, there’s water damage in the laundry, the electrical is so slipshod it almost started a fire, and there’s tons of paperwork issues with the title… but it could be beautiful.

I want to be the 50% that isn’t terrible. That is safe, warm, and fights to provide the same safety and warmth others need. My children are beginning to see the things we try and keep from them, but they will be armed with love, empathy, and resilience.

Life is short. And I’m afraid they know.
But let’s make our world beautiful. A little more lovely than it was the day before.
