Happy Sunday, Church Family! ❤️
What a powerful message from Pastor Ed today on the importance of the altar!
Throughout Scripture, altars served many purposes: sacrifice and atonement, memorializing divine moments, covenant and commitment, and providing sanctuary and refuge. They were places where people met with God, and they still are today.
One of the things we learned is that everyone comes carrying something—hurts, hang-ups, struggles, and burdens. Yet, throughout the Psalms, David continually reminds us that true healing can only come through the grace and presence of God.
Jesus told us that in this world we will have tribulation, but we are called to press into His presence. Psalm 84 reminds us of the blessing and strength that come from dwelling with the Lord. Everything we go through has a purpose. Through trials, our faith grows stronger. Endurance is part of God's process for spiritual growth.
We were reminded that one day we will all stand before God. Does our work have eternal value? Are we investing in things that matter for eternity?
God is always with us, and He is always listening. The company we keep influences our future, and while sin may bring pleasure for a season, nothing compares to the joy and fulfillment found in God's presence.
Hebrews 10:19-25 encourages us to draw near to God, remain faithful, and continue encouraging one another. As we walk with Him, He desires to bless us and lead us into His purposes.
Today's takeaway: Get comfortable at the altar. It's where the action is! It's where lives are changed, hearts are healed, prayers are answered, and God moves in powerful ways.
Have a blessed week, church family! Keep seeking His presence and remember—things change at the altar. 🙏❤️
