Psalm 80 could guide us as we pray for our nation that is celebrating 250 years of statehood. It is a reminder that God had a hand in the founding of our country, just as He did Israel. Though many in our nation deny this, their plans will lead us to destrruction. Our nation needs the Light that comes from the Bible, the Word of God. Our nation needs to humble herself before the One Sovereign God who rules over all nations. we need to come to Him with prayers of confession and thanksgiving. Read this Psalm with a prayer in your heart. Join me in reading Numbers 37, Psalm 80, ISAIAH 28, and 2 John.

Reading 1 John 5 always lifts my spirit, and encourages me. I do want to confess that the Son of God has come in the flesh, and has given Himself as a sacrifice for our sins. And that by His Spirit the Son lives in my heart. And through Him we have understanding, and we are kept from the evil one. That is about as good as it can get. Amen.
