Dear SPL Families,

I have some bittersweet news to share with you all.

After much thought and consideration, my family and I have made the difficult decision for me to return to teaching full time beginning this fall. I have accepted a position teaching first grade at Roscoe Wilson Elementary, and while I am truly excited about this new opportunity, it also comes with a heavy heart.

It is so hard to say “see you later” to my Sing Play Learn families. Over the past seven years, you have meant so much to me. Thank you for your support, your encouragement, and most of all, for trusting me with your children. It has been such a joy to sing, play, and learn alongside each of you.

I’m grateful that this isn’t goodbye just yet. I will be finishing this school year with my day care classes, completing our spring session of Friends & Family classes, and hosting one more Story Time Drama Camp in June. I also have some fun community events planned this summer at the Lubbock Public Library, and I truly hope to see many familiar faces there.

At this time, I’m planning to offer a few Friends & Family classes over the summer—watch for updates on my social media pages. I will also continue to offer limited special events and share resources through my Teachers Pay Teachers shop as a way to stay connected.

Looking ahead, I’m not yet sure what summer 2027 will hold for Sing Play Learn, but it is my hope that it will continue in some capacity with future summer opportunities.

Thank you again for being such an important part of this journey. I will always be grateful for the memories we’ve created together.
