A Certificate of Insurance is simply proof that coverage exists on the date it is issued.

If a contract requires Additional Insured status, Waiver of Subrogation, or Primary & Non-Contributory wording, those usually require specific endorsements on the policy itself.

That's why it's important to send contracts and insurance requirements to your agent.

Fireworks and horses aren't always the best match.

While we enjoy celebrating Independence Day, many horses experience stress and anxiety from the sudden lights and loud noises that come with fireworks displays.

As you prepare for the holiday, keep your equine friends in mind:

• Check fences, gates, and pens to make sure they're secure.
• Consider moving horses to a sturdy, familiar enclosure if fireworks are expected nearby.
• Earplugs or noise-reducing products may help some horses stay calmer.
• Keep a close eye on horses that are known to be nervous or reactive.
• Make sure halters, identification, and emergency contact information are up to date.

A little preparation can help prevent injuries, escapes, and unnecessary stress.
