🚨 IMPORTANT TAX REMINDER: Don’t Throw Away Your Form 1095-A!
If you used the Health Insurance Marketplace (Healthcare.gov) at ANY point during the year, the Marketplace will mail you a form called Form 1095-A.
👉 Do NOT throw this form away.
👉 Do NOT start your taxes without it.
Here’s why:
✅ Form 1095-A is REQUIRED to file your taxes if you had Marketplace health insurance.
If you file without Form 1095-A:
❌ Your tax return will be rejected
❌ Your refund will be delayed
❌ You may owe back credits
❌ You will have to refile
❌ Processing can take weeks longer
This is why it’s so important to keep it!

Welcome to the Health Insurance Marketplace® Welcome to the Health Insurance Marketplace®. Official government website.
I’ve been seeing some of these “tax preparer jokes” statuses today when a few teams popped out — so let me voice my opinion. 👏
The most common way you qualify for a refund is if you paid federal taxes through your paycheck or you have an eligible dependent. That’s it. That’s the real math. 🙂
Some of y’all don’t have W-2s… or you’ve got one W-2 for $176 with $2 in federal withholding… or you worked all year and didn’t pay into federal and somehow you still believe you’re owed a big refund. You’re not. You can’t get back what you never paid in.
Then later, when somebody plugs you into a “play” and it doesn’t pay out, you get mad like you actually worked and paid taxes. Let’s be serious this year.
Let’s normalize all Tax Season 2026:
🗣️ Whatever the screen says… that’s what it is. Take it.
If it’s $43, take the $43 — that’s a tank of gas. Something is better than nothing.
And let me say this too — this isn’t solely about me. Some tax preparers scared to speak up and tell the truth. I’m just saying what everybody else is thinking. 💯
