Soooo what happens if a firefighter needs to be rescued. Firefighters are trained to self rescue and to rescue members of their team. But, there are times when more help is needed.
Monday’s training covered that. What is “that” ? It’s a RIT - Rapid Intervention Team. This is a dedicated crew of firefighters assigned at a scene with the objective of rescuing fellow firefighters they may become lost, trapped’ injured, or run out of air.

5/18 Search Training - there is no such thing as too much training.
In continuing our search training using various techniques and equipment, Monday's training took on another "tool" as Ladder 217 was utilized.
