One end down, seven to go.
I got more lumber to rebuild the trestle ends for table. I've researched and will cut mortises and tenon's to assemble the horizontal and vertical pieces. I'll use glue and dowels to secure the tenon in the mortise for overkill. Once those cute, I'll install braces with glue and screws counter bored and fill holes with dowels. I expect a HUGE improvement.
I have all pieces cut for trestle assembly. I will start layout, marking for dowels tomorrow. Drill dowels holes, glues and pin nail. I have to get another 2"x10"x 8' for the top. I have three and was going to use a 2"x8'" for fourth board, then I saw it wasn't going to be symmetrical, can't have that, the OCD won't allow. I will just use it to make the bread boards.

Using reclaimed lumber to build a farmhouse table, I will need to purchase a few more 2"X4"s. First I will see if I can salvage some shoddy 2"x6" boards. The top will be constructed of 3 2"x10" and one 2"x8" to get the width I want. The plans I down loaded are for an 8 foot table, I will deviate and make this one 6 foot. The base will be a trestle. Similar to one shown. I will correct any potential flaws and later construct one with cherry wood, maybe another species. I haven't built anything from hardwood since woodshop, in Jr. High.
I removed 4"-2 1/4" adapter from big gulp on miter saw station and installed 4" hose and a 4" blast gate. I'm hoping this a a couple of other mods will help pull dust from miter saw.
