May 8th is recognized as National Children’s Mental Health Awareness Day.
When to Consider a Mental Health Day for a Child:
Indicators: A child may need a break if they are experiencing burnout, anxiety, or emotional distress.
Activities: These days should prioritize rest and restorative activities, such as spending time outdoors, over excessive screen time.
Purpose: To enable children to learn to recognize when they need a break and develop effective stress management strategies, rather than simply coping.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month 💚
Mental Health America introduced Mental Health Awareness Month in 1949 and has overseen the monthly observance every May to advocate for mental wellness nationwide.
This year's theme — More Good Days, Together — encourages us to examine what defines a “good” day, both for ourselves and for our communities.
It is a reminder that we’re not meant to go through life alone.
“We feel better when we’re not alone.”
Let us be intentional about supporting each other.

April is Stress Awareness Month.
This is a timely reminder that your body and mind are constantly communicating with you. Stress is more than just pressure. It is a signal. Instead of ignoring it, we invite you to notice where stress resides in your body and explore what it may be indicating with curiosity. Many people attempt to override stress by pushing harder, but this often deepens nervous system fatigue. Your system isn't failing you. It is trying to protect you. You can start small by creating moments of safety during your day.
Here are a few suggestions that may help
✨️ Whether it is stepping outside and going for a walk
✨️ Workout
✨️ Taking a few deep breaths
✨️ Engage in a creative activity without focusing on the final outcome
✨️ Speak with someone
Remember that you are not alone

Anxiety isn’t “just in your head.”
Anxiety is a real and serious mental health condition that affects both the mind and body, and those experiencing it deserve understanding, support, and compassion rather than being dismissed.
