The Paper Papillon

Happy New Year!!!! I hope you all enjoyed this holiday season. I made a promise to myself to get back in the craft room and use all the wonderful products I own to create beautiful projects to share with you (and not just cards).

First up is this “Blind Date with a Book”. This is my first attempt at one of these and I think it turned out pretty nice.

I used wrapping paper to cover the book and then used my metal dies for the tags and the bookmark along with an embossing folder. I backed some of the wrapping paper with carstock and then fussy cut flowers from the paper to make it easier to cut since wrapping paper is so thin. I grabbed a few treats I have in the house and stuffed them in the pockets. This book will be making its way to a good friend of mine.

I hope you enjoy this first project of 2026. I will be back next week with additional projects I’ve been working on.
