KHAPSE is a crunchy, lightly sweetened, or slightly salty snack. It is traditionally paired with hot tea, coffee, or Tibetan butter. It is a traditional deep-fried Tibetan biscuit. It is primarily prepared and eaten during Losar, the Tibetan New Year, as well as other major celebrations like weddings.
