Ory from our Hot Works Shop will lead students through an introduction to the concepts, methods, and practice of welding mild(structural) steel. Students will get exposure to the concepts behind gas welding, plasma and torch cutting, and metal arc welding, and will have hands-on practice with our MiG/Wire Feed welding systems and plasma cutter.

Students should wear close fitting clothing of natural fibers (including shoes) and bring hearing and basic eye protection. Welding hoods and gloves will be available for use.

Calling all Artists!
Its the first ever brickyard artist in residency! We are looking for an artist of any medium and any skill level to apply for a 6 month residency, where you will be provided with a 10x10 studio of space to make and create in, plus a full time membership, and $1000 stipend to create work. At the end of the residency we are looking to do a small ‘gallery’ showing of your work made during the residency during an open house. We need a submission of a thesis statement of your work you would like to create in the 6month period and need a required 3 piece minimum! This is brought to our space by an amazing grant gifted by the MCC, application is in BIO.
Applications are open till Jan 15th with the expectation of starting the residency on Feb 1st 2026!
