We extend our sincere gratitude to our mutual aid partners for their assistance in rescuing a hiker with a broken ankle in Johnny Park. Pinewood Springs Fire Protection District Rocky Mountain Rescue Group, Longmont Emergency Unit, Estes Park Health Paramedics, Boulder County Sheriff's Office The teamwork displayed by all responding units was exceptional.

Big Elk Meadows Volunteer Fire Department We are working on purchasing a new UTV (Utility Terrain Vehicle) that will be used to access hard-to-reach areas to render firefighting, medical aid and search-and-rescue in the area around Big Elk Meadows, Pinewood Springs and the surrounding National Forest near Estes Park.
