🍓It’s Strawberry planting time! Seems weird to be planting strawberries in the cool fall but after MANY years struggling with berry production, I switched to fall and have been very successful! You probably won’t find strawberries in your garden centers, I have always ordered online. Since we are revamping the garden this fall/winter I decided to put the berries in raised beds. Farmer George really outdid himself by getting the beds built and brought the soil down to the garden for me to fill and plant. Fingers crossed!! Satsumas are coming along as well!!! Saving the best for last—our family grew by one! Our granddaughter Mary Elizabeth “Emi” Rose Fisher was born this week!! As you can see our son Joe is quite smitten!!! (So is Farmer George). Tomatoes in October (zone 8b) !!! Who else is still harvesting tomatoes? And the Satsumas are starting to change! We have had some delays but steady working on garden revamp and put her to sleep until the new year!
