JOB DESCRIPTION: The role of the Medical Alert Installer is to set up wearable medical-alert devices. These products are designed to prolong customers’ lives and enable them to live independently, with dignity and peace of mind. Candidates should be compassionate individuals with a flexible schedule and a passion for working with the elderly. The ideal candidate is retired or already working on the road and looking to supplement their income.
WORK EXPERIENCE: Previous experience as a nurse, caregiver, scheduler, Certified Nurse Aid (CNA), Home Health Aid (HHA), Registered Nursing Assistant, Medical Transportation Driver, or Traveling Sales Representative are preferred. Customer-service experience is a plus, but no technical training or medical certifications are necessary.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Install, service, and retrieve plug-and-play medical equipment
· Educate subscribers and caregivers in a polite and professional manner
· Complete tasks within a specified timeframe and with minimal supervision
· Regularly provide updates to work orders in an online portal
· Manage a small inventory of equipment
QUALIFICATIONS:
· High school degree or equivalent
· Ability to operate basic machinery (PC, smartphone)
· Dexterity to install hardware in hard-to-reach locations
· Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks and to follow instructions
· Satisfactory background check including state-specific requirements (i.e. fingerprinting)
· Valid driver's license and insurance with a clean driving record
· Reliable transportation for coverage area
· Clean background check and clear drug screen
· A computer and/or laptop and smartphone
· Exceptional customer-service skills
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
· Ability to install home medical devices
· Ability to lift 40 pounds
· Ability to climb stairs
COMPENSATION:
· Set fee per job + considerations for long-distance travel
