Please join us in congratulating Lucy Roach, a first-year MA student, who presented her research at the 2026 Georgia Communication Association Conference, held February 26–28 at Mercer University in Macon, GA.

Lucy’s paper, “Repackaged Liberation and the Rhetoric of Return in the Tradwife Movement,” explores how figures such as Hannah Neeleman use the language of empowerment and choice to reframe traditional gender roles as liberatory rather than restrictive—an inversion of Campbell’s feminine rhetorical style.
