Join Middle Georgia DSA's Public Transit Improvement Committee, or PTIC, this Saturday at 1:00PM at Sweet Eleanor's to help plan and participate in our Bus Stop Benches Campaign!
Right now, a ton of Macon's bus stops have no bench or overhead, and when they do they're often designed to be as uncomfortable as possible to keep homeless people from using them. A cruel practice that makes public infrastructure worse for everyone!
This campaign is the start of our larger mission to expand, improve, and create public transit all across our jurisdiction. If you'd like to see consistent inter-city bus lines in Middle Georgia, better bus lines within Macon, or even rail projects connecting Georgia cities, come and join us this Saturday to come and discuss how to make that happen!
