MGM Resorts casinos on the Las Vegas Strip are now capable of drawing up to 100% of their daytime electricity from the sun, following the launch of the Escape Solar + Storage project in Southern Nevada.

​By combining power from this newly activated plant with the company's existing 100-megawatt Mega Solar Array, MGM has more than doubled its access to renewable energy.

​The real breakthrough: Escape Solar's massive battery storage system allows MGM Resorts to store solar energy and use it *at night* as needed.

This marks a massive shift. As battery technology improves, and storage capacity increases, more Las Vegas casinos will be able to move to 100% clean (and cheap) energy from the sun, wind, and geothermal.
