Madera County 4-H Clubs | UC Cooperative Extension - Madera County 05/11/2026

As clubs wrap up our 2025-26 year, Fair prep continues for the fall season. We are also looking ahead to the 2026-27 4-H year! Our program year runs from July 1st through June 30th, and we are currently looking for volunteers willing to share their knowledge and talents with youth.
This is also the perfect time for new families to explore which club best fits their interests and schedules. Clubs will begin meeting in August and September with newly elected club officers and updated project offerings for the new year.

Our next big youth activity is 4-H Summer Camp at Camp Keola, Huntington Lake, happening June 16-20th, and planning is being finalized now! Lots of fun stuff!
Thank you to all of our amazing volunteers, leaders, and families for another successful 4-H year. Your dedication continues to make a difference in the lives of our youth!

It’s Fun Fact Friday!

These 4-H boys performed an original skit they created themselves at the 1937 Illinois State Meet in Urbana! Historically, providing local 4-H clubs with ideas for entertaining their club members was an important service from the national level, particularly during the 1920s and 1930s. Often it was an expanded audience including parents, other family members, and the community at large.
