Diesel Mechanic/Technician
$18-$22/hour

Monday-Friday
8 AM - 4 PM

Transcorp is currently looking for a full-time truck and trailer mechanic/technician to work on our company-owned trucks and trailers!

Main Functions:
• Conduct regular preventative maintenance on Freightliner trucks, including inspection, tire rotation, oil changes, and routine maintenance
• Change tires, brakes, wheel seals
• Regular interval oil changes on trucks and refrigerator units on trailers
• Conduct regular preventative maintenance on Thermo King refrigerator units, along with tire rotations, trailer brake checks, and routine maintenance
• Perform minor and major repairs on trucks and trailers
• Maintain equipment parts inventory
• Maintain accurate records of each repair made on the equipment
• Maintain 90-day inspections and Annual Inspection records, up-to-date
• Maintain records compliant with CHP, USDOT, and FMCSA requirements.

Job Responsibilities
• Maintain basic record keeping of maintenance
• Plan and schedule with dispatch routine maintenance
• Be able to safely perform duties, and maintain cleanliness within the shop area

Qualifications
• 1-2 years of automotive or diesel experience preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Basic computer skills preferred
• Proficiency in the use of hand tools required
• Must have a positive attitude and eagerness to learn and grow
