My full PCOS testimony:

Many of you know don't know me but I gained A LOT of weight after high school, and no it wasn't just the freshman 15 as you can tell in the photos below. Eventually after reaching an all time low I went to the doctor for help. I was finally diagnosed with PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome) I was devastated listening to the news that not only was I extremely overweight for my age but also to hear that having children would be a very difficult road for me.

I became depressed and used my PCOS as a crutch. I would tell myself I was only fat because of my PCOS and it was out of my hands. About five years ago I stepped on a scale and told myself I needed to do something about it.

Instead of going on spring break that year I had a free pass to a gym where I was living. The first day I ran a mile in about 15 minutes and it was hard but I told myself I HAD to do this. I did a complete lifestyle change after that week at the gym.

I lost 85 pounds in about 8-10 months. I remember being so happy I started crying in my car on the way home from the gym after hitting my "goal weight". During this entire time I never "checked" in at the gym on facebook, I never took side by side comparisons of my body to show off my progress mainly because I was so embarrassed. I could not believe I ever let myself get like that...

I lost all of this weight naturally. I ate clean, I worked out daily. I educated myself in every way possible. I will also never forget the day when I became ashamed of my weight loss. Questions started being asked behind my back and to my face.

"Does she have an eating disorder?"
"Someone told me you had liposuction."

and even a family member asking if I had bariatric surgery because there was no way I did that by myself.

Once again I was at an all time low with my self-esteem.

Then I was introduced to Plexus, it went along the basic principals that had gotten me to where I was with my weight loss. Even though I had lost a lot of weight I still wasn't completely healthy with other habits.
