Root to Flower Wellness

Here’s an article that I wrote this time last year about Dandelion. I feel it needs reviving, because I truly believe that it’s my mission to share the awesomeness of this very misunderstood, but super nutritious and resilient plant! It’s so resilient in fact, that it can grow and thrive in the most unlikely of places. You can mow it, pick it, try to dig up its deep roots, and spray it with chemicals, but guess what? It continually bounces right back up! Always growing towards the light. What does this tell us about dandelion's healing medicine? Well, let me tell ya, just the dandelion's flower essence qualities for supporting us emotionally; helps to build strength and resilience, we are able to stand tall and unwavering in our life, and it allows us to feel deeply rooted within ourselves. That’s pretty cool for a humble w**d, wouldn’t you say?

While I was waiting in the store checkout line, the woman in front of me said, “The flowers you chose are very pretty. I’m sure the recipient will be pleased to get them.” I replied, “I’m certain she will love them, because that recipient is me. Sometimes you gotta buy yourself some flowers, you know?” She smiled and said, “I love that! It’s so very European.”

Who else buys themselves flowers? I’m pretty sure it’s not just a European thing. (Never heard of that, btw. Anyone want to fill me in?).
