Yesterday, Governor Evers signed our PFAS legislation into law—a major step forward in protecting Wisconsin’s water, land, and families.

I was proud to author this bill to address the growing threat of PFAS contamination across our state. For too long, communities have dealt with uncertainty about their drinking water and the long-term health impacts. That’s why it meant so much to be joined by constituents at the signing—people who have been directly impacted and who helped bring attention to this issue.

This law delivers real solutions: strengthening accountability, supporting cleanup efforts, and ensuring taxpayers aren’t left footing the bill for pollution they didn’t create.

Clean water isn’t a partisan issue—it’s a Wisconsin issue. I’m grateful to my colleagues, as well as the legislative and executive staff who worked together to get this done, and to the advocates and residents who shared their stories and pushed for action.

This is what we can accomplish when we stay focused on practical solutions and doing what’s right for the people we serve.

It’s been a busy week back at work at the Capitol! Between committee hearings and testifying on bills, there’s been no shortage of important conversations and long days. Grateful for the opportunity to dig into the issues, listen to stakeholders, and keep moving legislation forward on behalf of our community.
