While we’re sad to say goodbye to our last Artist-in-Residence, Kasey Cakebaker, we’re so excited to welcome our next Artist, Aaron Williams.

Aaron’s art is both familiar and very different. As you’ll see next time you’re in the taproom, Aaron creates buildings using all white and clear Lego. It’s quite amazing.

Being a landscape architect, everything Aaron builds with Lego is to scale and as authentic as can be. If you look through the windows, you can see he even recreates the inside the best he can!

When we were all sheltering at home during the pandemic, Aaron built Fairchild, a place he missed going to, telling friends “Can’t go, so we build.” It was up and onward from there.

You can catch Aaron’s work at WDBC through the end of September. You’ll see lots of buildings you’ll recognize. Maybe you even recognize Aaron’s build pictured here 🙂

You can also catch Aaron himself, as he will be joining and building with us Monday, July 13th, at Lego Night. Sern Sapp, a local Lao restaurant , will also be popping up that night. What fun!
