If you know me personally, you know that MF Doom meant a lot to me. His sheer lyrical brilliance and commitment to his villainous persona made him a truly solitary artist, and I was devastated to hear of his passing. To commemorate the effect he has had on my love for hip hop, I designed this piece around the title track to his first solo album. "Doomsday" was not only the first Doom track I heard, but a fantastic setup for his character's ethos as well as an unfortunate allusion to his recent demise.
