The Day Sipper
Unique wine experiences for new and developed palates.

A few months ago, the idea for Guided by Day was just a quiet thought — a way to bring the spirit of The Day Sipper beyond the table and into the wine regions themselves.
Today it’s becoming real.
This June, the very first Guided by Day wine journeys will take place in Paso Robles, California — a region known for its incredible hospitality, beautiful landscapes, and wines that truly reflect their place.
Two intimate trips are planned.
One is already full. There is still room on the June 15-19 trip, but I expect it to fill quickly.
These journeys are designed to feel personal and unhurried — small groups, thoughtfully chosen wineries, shared meals, and time to truly experience the place and the people behind the wines.
If Paso Robles in early summer sounds like something you’d love to experience, I’d be happy to share the details.

Over the past few weeks, I’ve shared a glimpse into the heart behind The Day Sipper.
Why I started—rooted in a love of learning and gathering.
Why education matters—because wine is more enjoyable when it feels approachable.
My favorite part of hosting—those “ah-ha” moments when it all clicks.
And the goal—creating space for connection, conversation, and shared experience.
The Day Sipper was created to bring people together around the table in a way that feels relaxed, thoughtful, and meaningful.
If you’re new here, welcome.
If you’ve been here awhile, thank you for being part of the journey.

From the moment a wine experience is booked, it’s on my mind. I genuinely look forward to getting to know the host and curating an experience that feels thoughtful, personal, and completely unique.
With just a few simple questions, I design each tasting to reflect the host and their guests—from the wine selections to optional food pairings. No two experiences are ever the same. I bring everything needed, so hosts can relax and enjoy their time without preparing or worrying about the details.
One of the things I love most is creating an elevated yet comfortable atmosphere—where guests are welcomed exactly where they are in their wine knowledge. Wine should never feel pretentious; it should feel approachable and fun.
But my favorite moment of all is the “ah-ha”—when someone connects with a piece of information that suddenly makes wine click for them, whether it’s something entirely new or something they’ve always sensed but couldn’t quite explain.
Inviting someone into your home can feel like a leap of trust, and I never take that lightly. My goal is always to make the experience feel easy, warm, and completely comfortable. If there’s ever anything I can do to ease that anxiety, I’m always happy to talk it through.
