Important advice from Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources on how to stay safe during this wave of dangerous, very poor air quality. AQI is over 300 in the Milwaukee area, indicating *everyone* should avoid outdoor activity and seek an indoor, air conditioned location.

(And yes, this "natural" disaster is related to manmade climate change, and we should be moving away from fossil fuels as quickly as possible. Climate and weather are political, and understanding ecology is not optional.)

This month, we will experience the consequences of Republicans refusing to fully, sustainably fund Child Care Counts and the Bridge Payments so many childcare providers in Wisconsin rely on.

Childcare does not have to be a financial or practical burden on so many Wisconsin families -- instead, following the examples of New York City and New Mexico, we can and should work to make childcare a universal and free public good.
