Our Story
The Catalyst Project is a new nonprofit in Madison that provides space for stability for under-housed single mother-headed families through a nurturing community home. It is intended that the strength that comes from a stable and positive environment will empower the individual and collective voice of these young families so as to guide not only their own paths but the direction of society. The Catalyst Project is founded upon the belief that the wisdom of those not well served by society is essential to creating a society that serves all of its people.
The Catalyst Project is unique in that it focuses on both brain development and parent partnerships in a “two-generation approach” while also integrating non-traditional trauma intervention by delivering it largely through daily routines and activities.
