I am pleased to share with you this video of the wonderful Passover Earth seder that happened last Thursday. I really enjoyed attending, and what a wonderful opportunity for any of your students who have never attended a seder. The event was led by Rabbi Ellen Berstein, a long time leader in Judaism and Ecology. It is described as a "Passover festival of text, music and earthy delights. We will be reading from Rabbi Ellen Bernstein’s The Promise of the Land, a haggadah which illuminates the deep ecological dimensions of the Passover seder, and enjoying traditional Passover music as interpreted by Rabbi Cantor George Mordecai and friends. Many special guests from around the world will help us create an uplifting and meaningful service.
Share the seder with Dr. David Abram, Rabbi Phyllis Berman, Rabbi Ellen Bernstein, Rabbi Shefa Gold, Rabbi Lenny Gordon, Anna Herman, Dr. Joy Ladin, Dr. Lori Lefkowitz, SooJi Min-Maranda, Rabbi Cantor George Mordecai, Dr. Shamu Sadeh, Nigel Savage, SJ Seldin, Rabba Kaya Stern-Kaufman, Rabbi Daniel Swartz, Ilana Trachtman, Rabbi Arthur Waskow, Hadassah Weinmartin, and more."
Dr. Ted Hiebert, who has been a major support to the Green Seminary initiative, has a part in it!

The GreenFaith Fellowship program is designed to recognize, affirm, and train people who either have spent time and energy at the intersection of religion/faith and environmental/climate justice and need to be affirmed OR to engage the education and training of people who want to dig deep into how their faith compels them to be part of a culture shift to respond to climate change and other environmental issues.
GreenFaith Fellows will gather virtually for 11 online meetings and one in-person retreat (as the COVID-19 pandemic allows) from January 2021-November 2021. The cost of the fellowship program is $1500, with scholarships available.
