From expanding urban tree canopy coverage in neighborhoods with limited shade with Urban Tree Alliance, to supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities at Madison Area Rehabilitation Centers Inc (MARC), to providing free legal services for survivors of human trafficking and sexual violence at LOTUS Legal Clinic, these stories show what can be accomplished when resources, vision and community engagement come together.

Happy Juneteenth! Today we celebrate freedom for all. On June 19, 1865, slavery came to an end in the United States with the liberation of slaves in Texas. Juneteenth is a day remembrance of those who were freed from slavery, who fought against racism and oppression for future generations and a day of celebration of Black triumphs and Black excellence persisting in our country today.

MCF is a proud sponsor of the 37th annual Juneteenth Celebration at Penn Park. We hope you are able to attend the joyous event celebrating Black business, Black culture and Black resilience in Dane County.
